FLEMINTON, Ga. (WSAV) — A Flemington woman was injured in a stabbing on Tuesday evening, officials said. The stabbing occurred around 8 p.m. on Tuesday at a residence on WW Winn Ave, Phillip Bohannon from the Liberty County Sheriff's Office said. The woman was stabbed several times and was transported to a Savannah hospital by a LifeStar helicopter. The stabbing was a result of an altercation between two women at a WW Winn Ave residence. Bohannon said that the stabbing is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community. The woman who allegedly caused the injuries has been detained and warrants are in the process outlying the charges she’s facing, law enforcement reported.
