SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) - The Savannah Police Department (SPD) responded to the Sonic located on 303 E Montgomery Cross Road after a pedestrian was struck by a driver Tuesday evening. According to SPD, an adult male was struck near the restaurant at around 6:45 p.m. He was transported to a nearby hospital with a head injury. The stretch of Montgomery between Aegean Ave and Hodgson Memorial Drive was shut down for nearly two hours after the accident and reopened around 8:30 p.m. This is a developing story and WSAV will provide updates as soon as they are available.
