ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) -- The Allen County branch of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library received a boost Tuesday after the Do it Best Foundation presented a $10,000 check to the Allen County Public Library (ACPL) foundation to put toward the program. ACPL Executive Director Susan P. Baier said the latest donation represents the latest example of the overwhelming support the program has received since its launch in November. "It makes a world of difference," Baier said. "A gift like this makes certain that this program can last." Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library off to near-record start in Allen County According to the ACPL, more than 3,200 children have signed up for the Imagination Library, and it costs $31 per child annually to supply those who have registered with a free book each month. The ACPL Foundation raised $100,000 to kickstart the program and has raised a total of $132,000 as of Dec. 11.
