Snow cleanup continues in Fairfax County after storm

FALLS CHURCH, Va. (DC News Now) -- Families are continuing to dig out after Monday’s winter storm dumped a heap of snow across the DMV.
“I think we got a good 6 or 7 inches,” said Oscar Brenninkmeyer, who was shoveling his driveway in Falls Church Tuesday. “It’s a lot of shoveling, but at least on this side, we sort of push it off to the side.”
How much snow did DC get?
While the grownups took care of the sidewalks and driveways, kids in the area spent the day sledding.
“We’re all seniors in high school so it’s going back and doing fun things we all used to do in elementary school. Fun to just be kids,” said Sophia Rader, who was sledding at Highland View.
Her friend Libby Brooke agreed.
“It’s really fun in our last year of high school to actually play in the snow and go sledding with our friends,” said Brooke.
Fairfax County Schools, libraries and most neighborhood buildings were closed Tuesday.
