ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – The Greece Police Department is investigating a robbery at Dubai Jewelry in Greece Ridge Mall that left several display cases damaged and around $90,000 in jewelry stolen Monday night. Courtesy: GPD According to Police, eight suspects, ages 15 to 20, entered the mall around 6:44 p.m. Six of those people made their way over to Dubai Jewelry, the other two stayed by the vestibule. Police said the suspects wore masks and gloves, jumped the stores counter, and used a baseball bat to smash the display cases. During the robbery, a security officer confronted the suspects but was threatened. Police also said another security guard in the food court narrowly avoided being hit by the baseball bat as it was thrown at him. Greece Police announced that roughly $90,000 of jewelry was stolen. The damage to the display cases cost an additional $3,000. Community Resource Collaborative to be dissolved after misuse of ARPA funds: AG According to Police, the suspects left the scene in a dark Chevy Malibu that was later found unoccupied on Lang Street by the Rochester Police Department.
