RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The City of Richmond has announced that water production has been restored as of noon on Tuesday, though it will take hours for it to be distributed throughout the city.
"However, water pressure will take at least several hours to build up before it can be distributed through the network," a release from Richmond's website reads.
Water production was restored as of noon on Tuesday, Jan. 7, according to city officials. The city continues to urge residents to conserve water when possible.
The boil water advisory issued on Monday, Jan. 6, remains in effect for residents who have water service, as testing necessary to lift the advisory has not yet been completed.
