PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department said it is still looking for a suspect in a late 2024 murder. Keith Singleton of Providence was killed on Nov. 24, 2024 on Monticello Street. Singleton’s younger sister said he was working on a car, which was one of his hobbies, when he was shot that night. “He had come by here and we had seen him a few hours before he passed, letting us know he had to go home because he was going to finish up the job,” Singleton’s sister Malaysia King said. The shooting was Providence’s 11th homicide of 2024, and now police say a man seen on surveillance video is a person of interest in the case.  “Thanksgiving especially was super hard,” King said. “Just creating the menu and deciding what we were going to buy was hard because he always had an input.” King also said all they want is justice for Keith and his children who lost their father. “They didn’t just hurt one person when they did this,” King said. “He has a large family behind him. He has a 10-year-old, an 8-year-old, and a 6-year-old who are going to miss out on the simple things that your dad is supposed to do with you.” The Providence Police Department is asking anyone who recognizes the person in the surveillance video or has any information about the homicide to call the department at 401-272-3121. “We need some type of closure,” King said. “It is hard to sleep at night when you don’t know who did this. It makes it so hard to be able to move on.” Categories: News, Providence, Rhode Island
