MEMPHIS, Tenn. — One man was shot and killed Tuesday in southwest Memphis.
Officers responded just after 1 p.m. to Horn Lake Road near Shelby Drive.
They found a man with an apparent gunshot wound who was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to a witness, a black car pulled up along a white SUV. Two men leaned out the window with high-powered weapons and shot the victim.
The SUV crashed into a nearby yard. Dozens of evidence markers could be seen in the street.

But a man who has lived nearby this scene for 60 years said on Tuesday he's not seeing any reduction around him.
"It's not down in this neighborhood. It might be down somewhere else, but not around here," he said. "They got more weapons than the police department got. We need stricter laws."
