Frigid temps and a few flakes possible
Jan 07, 2025
Tuesday night will be mostly quiet, but some areas could see a few flakes due to back flow from the mountains. Temps overnight will drop to the low teens for most and areas that see cloud clearing will likely wake up to single digit temperatures. Wind chills will be frigid all week in the single digits and teens.
Wednesday and Thursday will be pretty calm but very cold with overnight lows near 0° and afternoon highs in the low 20s. Thursday will be the coldest morning with wind chills at or below 0°.
Another winter system is expected to arrive Friday bringing with it our next chance for snow. This winter storm is expected to bring better accumulation amounts to southern Kentucky and central Kentucky getting less. Temperatures stay well below average through the remainder of the week with afternoon highs in the low to mid 20s and overnight lows in the teens and single digits.
