Richmond police arrest man wanted for burglary, other felony charges

RICHMOND, Ind. -- A man who was wanted for burglary, battery with a deadly weapon and several other felony charges was arrested this week in Richmond.
According to a news release, Richmond Police Department's S.A.F.E. Unit recently carried out a traffic stop in the 500 block of North 12th Street that led to the apprehension of Dakota Damrell, who was wanted on several felony charges related to an outstanding arrest warrant.
These charges include:
•Burglary (Level 1 Felony)
•Burglary (Level 2 Felony)
•Intimidation with a Deadly Weapon (Level 5 Felony)
•Battery with a Deadly Weapon (Level 5 Felony)
•Unlawful Carrying of a Handgun (A Misdemeanor)
RPD said officers also recovered a 9mm handgun during the traffic stop, according to RPD.
According to online court records, Damrell is set to appear in Wayne Superior Court 2 for a jury trial on March 3 at 9 a.m.
