Wisconsin man arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting 15yearold girl

JANESVILLE, Wis. (WFRV) - A 28-year-old Wisconsin man was arrested on Monday night after he was illegally parked in the roadway and had allegedly sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl.
According to the Janesville Police Department, shortly after 7:15 p.m., officers were patrolling in the 2300 block of Harvard Drive when they saw an illegally parked vehicle in the roadway.

The officers made contact with the occupants and identified them as Edward Diaz, 28, and a 15-year-old girl. After further investigation, it was found that Diaz and the girl had sexual contact just prior to the officers contacting them.
Diaz was arrested for several charges and brought to the Rock County Jail. Wisconsin Circuit Court records show that Diaz is formally charged with:
Second-Degree Sexual Assault of Child
Felony
Child Enticement-Sexual Contact
Felony

The 15-year-old girl, who police say was not injured in any way, was turned over to her family. Diaz had a cash bond set at $5,000 and is expected to make his initial appearance in court on Tuesday.
