NEENAH, Wis. (WFRV) - The victim of a fatal car crash on Saturday night in Neenah was identified as 22-year-old Justin Hartjes. According to the Neenah Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 800 block of South Park Avenue around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 4 for a report of a vehicle crashing into a tree. Victim identified as 86-year-old in fatal house fire in Marinette County Multiple people reported that an occupied car was engulfed in flames with smoke visible. The engine and dashboard were on fire with the driver-side door slightly opened. Hartjes was unconscious when removed from the car with traumatic injuries and struggling to breathe. He was pronounced dead at ThedaCare Hospital in Neenah later. Hartjes' one-year-old child was also found at home several blocks from the site of the crash and was the only one at home. Green Bay man dead, two others injured following head-on crash in Calumet County The home was filled with smoke due to burning food in the oven that was left on. The child was not hurt.
