NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WANE) — 2024 was a big year for the New Haven Wrestling program, and now their success is forever memorialized with a sign along SR 930. Digital view of the sign dedicated to the New Haven Girls Wrestling Championship Team The Mayor of New Haven Steven McMichael, city officials and New Haven High School dedicated a sign along State Road 930 E in honor of the historic 2024 Girls' Wrestling State Championship. After just six years of participating in the Indiana High School Girls Wrestling (IHSGW) State Finals, the Lady Bulldogs won it all. In previous years, they placed in the top eight all but one of the times; ranging from third, second, eighth, fourth and now first, according to a press release. Easton Doster is honored on the sign as the 2024 Boys Wrestling State Champion, who wrestled at 144 lbs.
