Woman struck, killed by vehicle at convenience store in West El Paso

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- A 77-year-old Las Cruces woman was struck by a vehicle and killed in the parking lot of a convenience store last weekend in West El Paso, El Paso Police said.
Police said 77-year-old Gloria Molina was killed when she was struck by a vehicle a little after 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5 in the parking lot of the Speedway gas station at 4990 Doniphan Drive.
Pedestrian struck by vehicle, airlifted in West El Paso
Police said Molina exited the store and was walking in the parking lot.
She was struck by 23-year-old Alejandro Gonzalez who did not see the pedestrian, police said.
The woman was airlifted to a local hospital but died on Monday, Jan. 6.
Police said driver inattention on the part of Gonzalez was a contributing factor in the crash. Police did not say if he was facing charges in the crash, however.
This was the second traffic fatality in the City of El Paso this year, compared to two at the same time last year.
