UPDATE: Southbound I25 at Minnequa Avenue exit back open

(PUEBLO, Colo.) — According to the Pueblo Police Department (PPD), southbound I-25 is back open to drivers at Exit 96 (Minnequa Avenue) after a jackknifed semi blocked both lanes of traffic on Tuesday morning, Jan. 7.
PPD posted about the closure on Tuesday just after 8:40 a.m. and asked drivers to avoid the area and to use alternate routes. Police said the area was back open to traffic by 9:30 a.m.
According to PPD, there were no injuries involved in the crash.
ORIGINAL STORY: Crash closes southbound I-25 at Minnequa Avenue exit

On Tuesday, Jan. 7, around 8:40 a.m., the Pueblo Police Department (PPD) reported that southbound I-25 is closed at Exit 96 at Minnequa Avenue due to a crash. Drivers are asked to avoid the area and take alternate routes.
According to PPD, detours are at Exit 97A: McCulley Avenue. Drivers should take McCulley to East Abriendo Avenue and turn south, then take Jones Avenue west to Lake Avenue and turn south, then head east on Pueblo Boulevard to get back on the interstate.
PPD also reported that eastbound Highway 96 at mile marker 319, near the 4th Street exit is down to one lane.
