Huntersville Police Department’s 2025 Polar Plunge to benefit Special Olympics North Carolina

CORNELIUS, N.C. — The Huntersville Police Department (HPD) invites the community to dive into the frigid fun at the 2025 Polar Plunge, an exhilarating and heartwarming event to benefit Special Olympics North Carolina.
This year’s plunge promises excitement, community spirit, and the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of athletes with intellectual disabilities. Participants will brave the icy waters for a cause that inspires hope, inclusion, and celebration of abilities.
Event Details:
• Date: January 26th, 2025
• Time: Registration begins at 12:30pm, Polar Plunge at 2pm
• Location: 18665 Harborside Dr, Cornelius (LakeHouse Wine Bar and Grill)
“We’re thrilled to bring back this annual event,” said Lt. Andrew Dempski (retired, HPD) “and to see our community come together for such an important cause. The Polar Plunge is a unique way to support our incredible Special Olympics athletes and the programs that empower them.”
