Baton Rouge Police looking for 3 teens accused of shooting at Christmas parade

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Three teens in Baton Rouge were issued arrest warrants for their alleged connection to a shooting at the Baton Rouge Christmas Parade.
According to the arrest warrants, Christopher King, 15, Treyvon Collins, 17, and Eddie Monroe, 17, are believed to have been connected to a shooting on Dec. 14.
The arrest warrant states Baton Rouge Police officers were called to a shooting in the 270 block of S. River Road just before 10 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found a victim with a gunshot wound to the back. Officers also found multiple spent shell casings across the levee.
Detectives with the BRPD determined at least two people were involved in a shootout, where the victim was caught in the crossfire. Over 40 spent shell casings were found.
According to police, video surveillance shows four Black males exchanging gunfire. These four individuals were seen in a nearby store before the shooting. While outside of the store, Collins reportedly brandished a gun and was talking aggressively to another male. Shortly after, Collins, King and Monroe were reportedly seen on video firing shots at another group of Black males.
Collins, King and Monroe face charges of attempted first-degree murder, illegal use of a weapon and illegal possession of a handgun.
