Motorcyclist suffers major injuries after colliding with horse in roadway: CHP

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A motorcyclist was hospitalized Sunday evening after colliding with a horse on Houghton Road.
At about 6:05 p.m., California Highway Patrol officers received reports of a crash between a motorcyclist and a horse. Investigating officers said a male riding a 2021 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling east on Houghton Road, just west of Stine Road, when a horse on the loose ran in front of the rider.

The rider was ejected from the motorcycle and transported to a hospital with major injuries.
Alcohol or drugs are not factors in this crash, CHP says.
