Deer rescued from frozen lake in Berkshire County

MONTEREY, Mass. (WWLP) - A deer found in distress on a frozen lake in Berkshire County was rescued by first responders Tuesday morning.
Crews from the Monterey Fire Department conducted an ice rescue of a deer that was found stranded on Lake Buel. Once the deer was helped off the ice, it entered a wooded area and the fire department reported that it appeared healthy and relieved.
