PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — There will be a new addition (or additions) to the Roger Williams Park Zoo family. The zoo announced that its six-banded armadillo Josephine is pregnant. The zoo’s care team is working to teach her how to “voluntarily participate” in check-ups. Josephine, our six-banded armadillo, is expecting! Through positive reinforcement training, our dedicated animal care team taught Josephine to voluntarily participate in her check-ups.
