Lincoln Police cruiser. (Jeff Motz/KFOR News)LINCOLN–(KFOR Jan. 7)–A 29-year-old Lincoln man was assaulted and robbed while walking home Sunday night by an unknown man. Lincoln Police say the assault and robbery happened around 9pm near 11th and Furnas, when a man in a black ski mask, black puffy coat and jeans ran up and hit him in the head with his hand and stabbed him in the upper right side of his back. The suspect took off with the victim’s wallet. Police say the victim showed up to LPD headquarters on Monday morning to take care of a warrant and during the interview, officers saw blood on his hand. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of a stab wound, which punctured his right lung. The investigation is ongoing.
