Impaired teen accused of intentionally crashing into boyfriend's car in North Carolina

MORGANTON, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A 19-year-old woman was charged after purposefully crashing into her boyfriend while impaired, according to the Morganton Public Safety Department.
Around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 5, officers responded to 198 Curtis Street about a vehicle collision with injuries. When they arrived, they found two vehicles still on with no occupants about 40 feet to the right of the road, one of which was pushed into the woods, officials said. Neighbors who heard the crash said they saw two people running up the street away from where it happened.
One of the drivers, 19-year-old Yoselin Elena Lopez Velasquez, was located by officers on Curtis St. She allegedly told officials she intentionally crashed into the other vehicle which was being driven by her boyfriend.
The boyfriend was found and after interviewing him, a domestic violence incident investigation was underway.
