SHAWANO COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) - The Shawano County Sheriff's Office announced that the Balsam Row Road Dam is not operating properly due to a generator failure. The public notice states that the lead dam operator at the Balsam Row Road Dam informed officials that the generator failure could lead to unstable water levels throughout this winter. Wisconsin State Patrol reminds drivers of mile markers and their importance Operators were meeting and working with the Department of Natural Resources on Tuesday morning as they attempted to find a safe way to handle the issue. The notice added that it will have a severe impact on ice conditions as water levels may be high on some days, yet lower on others.
