GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - Police in Green Bay say two bracelets that are a part of the department's 'Project Lifesaver' are available for free to qualified community members. According to a release from the Green Bay Police Department, 'Project Lifesaver" is a program that uses a bracelet worn on the wrist or ankle of an "at-risk" individual to help find them if they are missing. The bracelet emits a radio frequency signal to a receiver that helps pinpoint the location of the person wearing it. Those interested in obtaining the bracelets at no cost must meet the following qualifications: Dementia Diagnosis Live w/ Caretaker Reside in Green Bay Community members who are or know someone diagnosed with dementia and want to learn more about 'Project Lifesaver' are asked to contact the Green Bay Police Department's Behavioral Health Unit.
