KANNAPOLIS, N.C. — An investigation is underway after a man was shot and killed. On Monday, at 6 p.m., officers say they were called to a parking lot on Pine Hill Lane. When they arrived on scene, 28-year-old Khari Keem Wilkes was found suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to Northeast Medical Center where he died from his injuries. Police say they are currently looking for two males who left the scene on foot. No other details were available regarding the shooting or clothing descriptions for the two men.
