HICKORY, NC – A man is in the hospital and a second man is in jail following a shooting at an apartment complex in Hickory. The shooting happened around 5 p.m. on Monday at The Landings of Hickory on 20th Avenue Drive NE. Police say 31-year-old Lee Wilson and 55-year-old Donzell Wilfong were arguing when Wilfong shot Wilson. Investigators say paramedics took Wilson to Catawba Valley Medical Center where he is in stable condition. Wilfong is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and possession of firearm by felon. He is being held with no bond.
