BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — North Dakota Governor Kelly Armstrong will deliver the 2025 State of the State address to a joint session of the 69th Legislative Assembly today, January 7, in the House of Representatives chamber of the State Capitol. The joint session will start at 1 p.m., with the governor’s address scheduled to begin around 1:30 p.m. A link to the livestream of the address will be posted on the Governor’s Office website at www.governor.nd.gov. With the 2025 Legislative Session starting today, lawmakers say their agenda is jam-packed for the next few months. Issues include property tax reform, free school lunches, struggles to fill leadership roles for higher education, appeals against the Summit pipeline, the future of an abortion ban, an overpopulated prison system and charitable gaming.
