Four charged in connection with shooting at Baton Rouge home

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) -- Four suspects were arrested in connection to a shooting at a home in the 15000 block of Woodland Acres Avenue on Jan. 3.
During the investigation, EBRSO discovered that two men reportedly shot at the Woodland Acres Avenue home and vehicles. Deputies said one person fired shots from inside the home and hit two vehicles across the street.
No injuries were reported.
All of the suspects fled the scene.
EBRSO executed a search warrant on Jan. 6. at a home in the 4800 block of Five Forks Avenue. Before that happened, a vehicle was seen leaving the home. A short police chase started after the driver refused to stop for deputies. The chase ended when the car crashed into a tree on Port Hudson Drive.
Ashley Neal, 30, of Baton Rouge, was arrested on Jan. 4 while the other three suspects were arrested on Jan. 6 after the police chase. Dylan Brownware, 20, Kevin Davis, 17, and Ken Davis, 19, all of Baton Rouge, fled from the vehicle while armed. All three were captured in the area and all three handguns were recovered.
Neal was charged with five counts of principal to attempted first-degree murder.
Brownware was charged with five counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of aggravated criminal damage to property, and one count each of firearm/machine gun handling and resisting an officer.
The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office said Brownware has an active arrest warrant through the New Orleans Police Department for a charge of principal attempted second-degree murder in connection to a November shooting.

Kevin Davis was charged with five counts of attempted first-degree murder, and one count each of aggravated criminal damage to property, firearm/machine gun handling and resisting an officer.
Deputies noted that Kevin has an active bench warrant for charges of illegal carry of weapons and resisting and officer.
Ken Davis was charged with firearm/machine gun handling and resisting an officer. The sheriff's office said investigators do not believe he was an active participant in the shooting.
The investigation remains ongoing.
