BOWIE, Md. (DC News Now)-- Snow plow crews have been busy clearing snow around office buildings in Bowie. The teams are working around the clock so people can return to work as soon as possible.
Scott Robinson is one of 20 drivers working for L & R Landscaping who was involved in the snow removal project.
“We came about around two this morning and started plowing and we’ve been working around the clock until right now and since its slowed down a bit we’ve been able to catch up a bit a little more” said Robinson.
Dozens of kids and parents were also spending time outside in the snow sledding and using innertubes on a steep hill behind Kenilworth Elementary school.

Natalie Beavers and her brother said they enjoyed their time outside.
“I think it is really fun because we get to experience the snow day and we don’t get those too often here so it is nice to enjoy it by sledding” said Beavers.
While the Beavers family and others were having fun, L & R Landscaping plow drivers tell DC News Now it is a difficult job dealing with more than 6 inches of snow.
However, Scott Robinson said they will stay until the job is finished.
“They are calling for another wave of snow tonight we might get as much as ten inches and we will have to stay here but we will take a break if it starts snowing again as it comes down we will stay here until it is clear," said Robinson.
Robinson said his crews are planning to work all Monday night and into Tuesday morning.
