VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - The Visalia Police Department is investigating after a vehicle hit a pedestrian Monday evening.
According to police, at approximately 6:43 p.m., Visalia officers responded to a vehicle-pedestrian accident at the intersection of Akers Street and Walnut avenues in Visalia.
Police say one person was transported to the hospital. The condition of the victim is currently unknown.
The Visalia Police Department Traffic Unit responded to the scene and is currently investigating the collision.
Police say roads are currently closed and to avoid the area.
