SELMA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A woman has been arrested after allegedly stealing several Christmas decorations from the Selma Auto Mall and turning herself in, the Selma Police Department said. Police say they received a report of Christmas decorations being stolen from the Selma Auto Mall on Jan. 2. Throughout the course of the investigation, officers identified a female suspect, who officers nicknamed "The Grinch" and obtained an arrest warrant for grand theft. On Monday, officers announced the suspect turned herself in, "perhaps feeling the season's spirit of giving." They add they were able to recover the stolen property from locations in Selma and Fresno, and that even Santa's reindeer made it back "safe and sound." "We're glad to report that Santa and his trust reindeer are back in action, and their sleigh is now fully equipped for next year's festive season!" the Selma Police Department said. All items were returned to the Selma Auto Mall. Investigators say the suspect was transported to the Fresno County Jail.
