(KRON) -- Matthew Muller, the man convicted of the high-profile kidnapping and rape of Denise Huskins in Vallejo, was charged on Monday with another kidnapping that happened in 2015 in Contra Costa County. Muller was also charged last week for a series of 2009 home invasions in Santa Clara County. Muller, 47, is serving a 40-year prison sentence for kidnapping and raping Huskins. Netflix documented the story in the series "American Nightmare." In more news just announced on Monday, Huskins plans to speak at Seaside City Hall to discuss the new charges against Muller. A slew of new charges against Muller in multiple Bay Area counties stem from recent confessions that he allegedly made in prison letters.  Denise Huskins to make public appearance Huskins, the victim of the 2015 Vallejo kidnapping, will speak alongside Seaside Police Chief Nick Borges about the new charges against Muller. Huskins was taken from her Vallejo home and held for two days in Muller's South Lake Tahoe cabin. Muller later took her to Southern California where she was found. Vallejo police incorrectly accused Huskins of faking her own kidnapping in a hoax inspired by the movie "Gone Girl." Oakland homicide victim identified as father of two In late December of this year, Muller was charged with home invasions that allegedly happened in 2009 in Mountain View and Palo Alto. In both cases, a man tied up and drugged young women after breaking into their homes. He confessed to those crimes, court documents show. Borges told other police departments that Muller “wants to confess all his past crimes,” stating he feels compelled to strengthen laws for future victims. He then got the idea to break into homes, and he shared details with police about how he executed the break-ins in Mountain View and Palo Alto. Muller is a Marine who graduated from Harvard University and worked as an attorney in California. On Tuesday, Huskins and Borges will talk about the new charges against Muller. Huskins was featured on the Netflix series. She has also been working with Seaside police to inform cops how to better handle sexual assault investigations. San Ramon Kidnapping The new charges on Monday are for a previously unreported kidnapping that happened in 2015 in unincorporated San Ramon, the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office said. Authorities learned of the crime "through correspondence between law enforcement and Muller." Muller has confessed to the crime, the DA's office said. Timeline: Matthew Muller and ‘Gone Girl’ Vallejo kidnapping case According to an investigation by the Sheriff's and District Attorney's offices of Contra Costa County, Muller held two men and one woman for ransom in spring 2015. He demanded that one victim extract more than $10,000 from their bank account and left the home after securing the money. The victims never came forward for fear of retaliation. Muller will be charged with three felony counts of kidnapping for ransom in Contra Costa County. “Muller committed serious offenses throughout Northern California, and my office will be resolute in seeking justice on behalf of the victims in Contra Costa County,” said DA Diane Becton. Muller is currently being held in a Santa Clara County jail. His sentence for the Huskins kidnapping is to be served at a federal prison in Tucson, Ariz., and he will be transferred there after the Santa Clara County cases are resolved.
