Walnut Creek Safeway employee robbed in parking lot: police

(KRON) -- A Safeway employee was robbed in a parking lot Sunday night, the Walnut Creek Police Department (WCPD) announced on social media. Police received a call around 8:51 p.m. about a robbery outside the grocery store at 1971 Tice Valley Blvd.
The victim did not sustain any injuries, WCPD said. The Safeway employee reported that a female suspect stole an unknown amount of alcohol and got inside a white BMW getaway car.

According to WCPD, the male driver of the BMW pointed a gun at the Safeway employee before driving off. Police said the suspect car was headed south on Tice Valley Boulevard.
