Pacifica Taco Bell announces temporary closure. Here’s why
Jan 06, 2025
(KRON) -- The famed Taco Bell Cantina in Pacifica has temporarily closed, company executive James Aman announced Sunday night in a Facebook post. The Taco Bell will be closed for two weeks for a remodel.
"Closed for remodel," a sign outside the restaurant reads in all caps. It is unknown what the exact date is for the Taco Bell to reopen.
The fast food restaurant, located right on Pacifica State Beach, was dubbed as the "coolest" Taco Bell location in the world by Business Insider. With more than 7,000 restaurants worldwide, Taco Bell also ranked the Pacifica location first on its list of most beautiful locations.

The Pacifica location sits right on the beach where surfers can grab a quick bite after hitting the waves. It also has a walk-up window, a surfboard parking lot and Twisted Freezies, an alcoholic version of Taco Bell’s slushies.
Aman is the Senior Taco Bell Cantina Specialist, according to his LinkedIn page. He has been with the company since 2019. KRON4 reached out to Taco Bell for further comment. We did not receive a response in time for publication.
