SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Senator Adam Gomez (D, Springfield) attended the annual Three Kings Day celebration on Monday night at Union Station in Springfield. Springfield City Council sets goals for the 2025 legislative year The event was hosted by The Hispanic-American Library for the fourth year in a row, with live music and and gifts for children in attendance. The celebration of Three Kings Day, or Día de los Reyes Magos, has great significance in Puerto Rico and Latin America. The holiday celebrates the Three Wise Men visiting baby Jesus after his birth. Many countries around the world commemorate this day through gift-giving, the way the three kings did. “Tonight’s celebration is a befitting culmination of the Christmas season where thecommunity comes together to celebrate the Three Kings’ visit of Baby Jesus,” Gomez said. “In the spirit of the gift-bearing Kings, this annual celebration is another opportunity to be grateful for our friends, families and loved ones, while also giving back to our community.
