IFD responds to large building fire on near east side

INDIANAPOLIS -- Firefighters are on the scene of a large building fire that erupted near multiple businesses on the near east side of Indianapolis Monday night.
Firefighters with the Indianapolis Fire Department responded around 10:35 p.m. to the 2100 block of Adams Street in response to reports of an active building fire. Several businesses are located in the vicinity of the fire, though it is currently unclear exactly which building has been affected by the blaze.
An INDOT camera looking west from Interstate 70 showed large flames emanating from the building. That can be viewed below:
IFD has not yet disclosed the extent of the damage or if any injuries have been reported.
FOX59/CBS4 currently has a crew on the scene and is working to learn more about the circumstances that led to the fire.
The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
