NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – North Charleston officers responded to a shooting at McDonald’s Monday evening, the department said. Just before 7:30 p.m., police arrived to the McDonald’s on Ashley Phosphate Road at the intersection of Northside Drive, Harve Jacobs, spokesperson for the North Charleston Police Department, explained. Once on the scene, authorities learned one male had been shot inside the restaurant. The injured man was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Police did not say the extent of the victim's injuries. No arrests have been made so far in connection to the shooting. Multiple witnesses recounted information about the shooting suspect to police on scene, officers said. An investigation is ongoing.
