BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — JJ Peterka and Alex Tuch scored shootout goals to lift the Sabres to a 4-3 victory against the Eastern Conference-leading Washington Capitals on Monday night at KeyBank Center.
Peterka and Tuch also had goals in regulation, and Peterka assisted on Tage Thompson's team-leading 19th tally in the second period. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 25 saves and stopped two of three attempts in the shootout.
Snapping a three-game skid at the season's midway point, Buffalo visits the Ottawa Senators on Thursday night before returning home to face the Seattle Kraken on Saturday.
