Schools across DC, Maryland, Virginia closed for second day because of winter storm

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- Several school districts in D.C., Maryland and Virginia have announced closures for the second day in a row as a winter storm hits the region.
Areas across the DMV received over 5 inches of snow Monday as the storm passed through, leaving icy, hazardous conditions.
As a result, many districts around the D.C. metro area have announced school closures for Tuesday, Jan. 6.
The following schools will be closed to students on Tuesday, Jan. 7:

Allegany County Public Schools
Anne Arundel County Public Schools
Baltimore County Public Schools
Calvert County Public Schools
Charles County Public Schools
Frederick County Public Schools
Harford County Public Schools
Howard County Public Schools
Montgomery County Public Schools
Prince George's County Public Schools- Code Yellow, only emergency personnel must report to work
Washington County Public Schools
Wicomico County Public Schools
