ONTARIO, N.Y. (WROC) — Wayne junior guard Cam Blankenburg made history in a big win for the Eagles on Friday, earning our Player of the Week honors. He racked up 46 points on 20 of 25 shooting in an 84-40 win over Midlakes, breaking his brother Logan's record (45) for most points in a game in program history. He also tallied 11 rebounds, 6 assists, 8 steals, and 3 blocks all while sitting out most of the fourth quarter. The reigning News 8/Primetime 585 Elite Award winner is also just 17 points away from setting the career scoring record at Wayne, also held by his brother Logan. The Eagles are undefeated to start the season and our Player of the Week is a big reason why.
