FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A wanted felon carrying throwing knives was arrested on New Year's Day after being spotted by officers, the Fresno Police Department announced. Police say as they were patrolling the area of Herndon and Blackstone avenues on Jan.1, when they recognized a wanted felon. Officers say the man attempted to flee and resisted arrest but was eventually taken into custody. On him, investigators say they found a loaded firearm, throwing knives, and meth. As a result, police say the man was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm in public, concealing a loaded firearm, concealing a dirk or dagger, resisting arrest, and possessing controlled substances and a loaded firearm.
