FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A man is in critical condition after he was hit by a vehicle in central Fresno Monday morning, according to the Fresno Police Department. Police say they responded to Weber Avenue and Olive Avenue near Roeding Park around 8 a.m. for a vehicle versus a pedestrian.  Investigators say the driver was headed southbound on Weber Avenue and was attempting to turn eastbound on Olive Avenue. Police say the pedestrian was crossing the street, in the designated crosswalk, and as the driver approached the intersection, did not see the man when he was struck.  The pedestrian sustained a head injury and he was transported to a local hospital by ambulance for treatment.
