Final field for 2025 Farmers Insurance Open in San Diego shaping up

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- The field is almost set for the 2025 Farmers Insurance Open that takes place in San Diego at end of January every year.
The 2025 Farmers Insurance Open is set for Jan. 22-25, 2025, at Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla.

The field is not final until the commitment deadline on Friday, Jan. 17 after conclusion of play in that week’s tournament, according to the website, and more players are continuing to throw their name in before the deadline.
The current list of notable players that have committed to the Open as of Jan. 2 includes major championship winners, past Farmers Insurance Open winners, players among the top 50 in the Official World Golf Ranking, and players with San Diego ties -- Charley Hoffman (Poway High School), Michael Kim (Torrey Pines High School), and J.J. Spaun (San Diego State).

Tickets went on sale back in October 2024 for the PGA Tour stop at Torrey Pines Golf Course in late January.
Rounds one and two of the Farmers Insurance Open will take place on Jan. 22 and 23, with the championship days (rounds three and four) scheduled for Jan. 24 and 25.
The schedule of events can be found online, but the website says 2025 Pairings and Tee Times will be available soon.
Founded in 1952, the tournament has been held at Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla since 1968. The prize amount for 2025's tournament has not yet been made public, but the 2024 prize purse was $9 million, with the winner taking home $1.62 million.
