(KRON) – Oakland staple Horn Barbecue is making its way up Interstate 80 to the Sacramento area. It seems that the Michelin Bib Gourmand eatery is on an expansion mission. The eatery recently opened a location in Lafayette.  "Lafayette embraced us with open arms," said Horn. "Now we're bringing that same energy, quality, and connection to Elk Grove- a community that deserves nothing less." Bay Area taqueria chain closes after 15 years Per the Horn Barbecue's new Instagram for the Elk Grove location, the restaurant promises future patrons “an elevated experience with a full bar, live music, and appearances from some of the nation's most celebrated pitmasters and chefs.” Elk Grove is just south of the state’s capital. The latest location is set to arrive near Sac-Town in February.  The original West Oakland location faced turmoil after a devastating fire and was defaced with graffiti in November of 2023. The BBQ spot has since moved to Downtown Oakland.
