TEMPLE CITY, Calif. (KTLA) – A small plane crashed into the backyard of a home in Southern California's San Gabriel Valley Monday morning.
The crash occurred just before 8 a.m. in the 4900 block of Arden Drive in Temple City, roughly a mile west of the El Monte Airport, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Sky5 footage showed the single-engine aircraft clipping trees and bushes as it crashed on top of a brick wall and possibly made contact with the home in the densely populated neighborhood.

Damage to the home did not appear to be extensive, and Sky5 reporter Rich Prickett said both occupants of the plane walked away from the crash and were evaluated by paramedics.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
