SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - On Sunday night, Bright Nights at Forest Park in Springfield wrapped up another successful season of holiday fun. While the holiday season might be over, crowds still poured in to witness the magical light displays at Bright Nights. This light display has been a hit for its 30th season, with over 750,000 lights illuminating the park. The Big E ranks in largest U.S. carnivals for attendance There's a three-mile drive of displays, including Seuss-land and Toy Land. For many, it's a chance to hold onto the holiday spirit and create lasting memories with loved ones. "It's just amazing to me, that the same people come back year after year," Spirit of Springfield President Judy Matt said. "But it's a holiday tradition, it's part of their DNA now to be there." The lights stayed lit until 9:00 p.m. for those who planned to come late to the park for the final time this season.
