LIST: Central Virginia schools closing Tuesday due to winter storm

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- As the effects of the first winter storm of 2025 continue to be seen across the Commonwealth, some Central Virginia school divisions are choosing to close on Tuesday.
The following school districts or schools in Central Virginia will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 7 due to severe winter weather:
Albemarle County Public Schools
Amelia County Public Schools
Brunswick County Public Schools
Caroline County Public Schools
Charles City County Public Schools
Chesterfield County Public Schools
Colonial Heights City Public Schools
Cumberland County Public Schools
Dinwiddie County Public Schools
Essex County Public Schools
Fluvanna County Public Schools
Goochland County Public Schools
Greensville County Public Schools
Hanover County Public Schools
Henrico County Public Schools
Hopewell City Public Schools
King and Queen County Public Schools
King William County Public Schools
Middlesex County Public Schools
New Kent County Public Schools
Northumberland County Public Schools
Petersburg City Public Schools
Powhatan County Public Schools
Prince Edward County Public Schools
Prince George County Public Schools
