It is going to be feeling every bit like January across the Northeast this week. As a snow storm exits to our south this evening, there could be some slick roads down in south county for the PM commute. Take it slow, especially in these areas or if traveling south! Skies will be partly cloudy tonight and the wind will begin to pick up. Lows will drop well down into the teens, making for a biting start to Tuesday. Highs tomorrow won’t even make it above freezing in most spots, and with a gusty north wind you can expect to feel much colder than that! The weather otherwise remains quiet through the end of the workweek. We are watching for the potential of snow on Saturday, but there is a huge disagreement among our major weather models right now. This storm will develop down in Texas and will then track east over the Mississippi Valley. If it phases with some energy to the north, it will amplify and move towards the Northeast. If it does not, it will remain well south and exit harmlessly out into the Atlantic. We will be keeping a very close eye on this potential here in the ABC6 weather center, so stay tuned!
