Cold week ahead in Piedmont Triad

(WGHP) -- Lots of cold weather is expected this week.
Clear and cold Tuesday morning with lows in the low to middle 20s. Factor in the wind, we will have wind chill values or feels like temperatures in the teens. So, dress warmly on Tuesday morning. Sunny skies Tuesday with highs near 40 degrees with feels like temperatures in the 30s.
Sunny and cold Wednesday with lows in the upper teens and highs near 40 degrees.
Sunny and even colder on Thursday with lows in the upper teens and highs in the middle 30s.
On Friday, we will watch our next weather maker move our way. An area of low pressure is forecasted to move along the Gulf Coast. Clouds will increase during the day with a small chance for precipitation to fall across the Piedmont. Our lows will be in the upper teens with highs near 40 degrees. Chance of precipitation 25%. Precipitation chances will increase Friday night into early Saturday. It will be cold enough for the moisture to be frozen. It's too early to say what type of precipitation and how much we could see.
Wintry precipitation is likely for the first half of Saturday. After lunchtime Saturday, the precipitation will end with highs in the upper 30s. Chance of precipitation 50%.
