McDonald's launching 'McValue' menu on Tuesday: What's on it?
Jan 06, 2025
(NEXSTAR) – On Tuesday, McDonald’s will launch a new “McValue platform” which aims to give patrons “even more ways to enjoy the food they love, for less," according to McDonald's.
The McValue menu, first announced in November, will comprise of nationwide, local and app-based offers. As such, some offers — the local and app-based offers — may only be available to customers in certain regions or at certain franchise locations.

Among the national offers, McDonald’s is touting its current $5 Meal Deals which include both a McCrispy Meal Deal and a McDouble Meal Deal. There will also be a “Buy One, Add One for $1” offer for customers at breakfast or lunch/dinner.
The "Buy One Add One for $1" offer — somewhat of a new concept to the McDonald's menu — works like this: Customers who purchase a specific breakfast item (a Sausage McMuffin, Sausage Biscuit, Sausage Burrito or Hash Browns) can purchase another item from that set (of equal or lesser value) for $1. Or, during lunch/dinner hours, customers who buy a specific item (6-piece Chicken McNuggets, Double Cheeseburger, McChicken or small fries) can get something else from that set (of equal or lesser value) for an additional $1.
Local deals and in-app deals will vary depending on location and participation, McDonald’s said.

"We’ve worked closely with our franchisees to create a new platform that will let our customers define value on their own terms,” Joe Erlinger, the president of McDonald’s USA, said in a statement included in the November 2024 press release. “From deals on their personal go-to order to universal favorites like the $5 Meal Deal, we’re excited to give fans more ways to save every time they visit one of our restaurants.”

McDonald’s initially launched its $5 Meal Deal — which contained a sandwich, fries, McNuggets and a drink — in June 2024. The offer was intended to last only for four weeks, but has since been extended to summer 2025 after sales figures exceeded expectations. (McDonald's, in November's announcement, noted that some franchisees may be charging $6 for their Meal Deals.)
A representative for McDonald's was not immediately available to share additional details of the McValue menu, nor whether customers can expect new offers to be added to the platform periodically.
